B.Voc. Journalism and Mass Communication
(To be implemented from Academic Year 2022–23)
Course Structure
- B.Voc. is a three-year course with three theory and three practical courses in each semester.
- Each theory course will be of four credits and each credit is of 15 periods.
- Each practical course will be of six credits and each credit is of 15 periods.
- Each period is of one clock hour.
- In each practical course there will be one visit to a relevant industry/institute.
- Special emphasis on communication and soft skills development of the students.
Eligibility
- First Year B.Voc. (Diploma): Passed H.S.C. (10+2) in any stream or equivalent examination.
- Second Year B.Voc. (Advanced Diploma): Must have kept terms of First Year B.Voc. and fulfill eligibility conditions.
- Third Year B.Voc. (Degree): Must pass all First Year courses and satisfactorily keep terms of Second Year.
Note: Admissions will be given as per selection procedures/policies adopted by the college and in accordance with the conditions laid down by Savitribai Phule Pune University.
Examination Pattern
- Pattern of Examination: Semester-based.
- General education courses: Theory paper in Semesters I to VI.
- Skill Component (Practical Course): Practical examination will be conducted.
- Weightage of Marks: 50% Internal Continuous Assessment, 50% End Semester Examination.
